The Password Protection feature allows you to restrict access to your storefront while it’s under construction or during a private launch. Only visitors with the correct password can access the actual store. Below are the available customization options:
Settings
These settings control the appearance of the password popup box shown to visitors:
- Popup Box Background:
Choose a background color or image for the password popup window. This defines the overall look of the box where visitors enter the password. - Popup Button Background:
Customize the background color of the Submit button within the popup. You can match it to your brand’s color palette. - Popup Button Text Color:
Set the text color for the Submit button to ensure readability and design consistency.
Show Password Field Link Text
Define the link text that triggers the password input field. For example:
👉 “Enter Password” or “Authorized Access Only”.
This text appears as a clickable link that expands the password form.
Title
Set the title or heading for the password popup.
Example: “This Site is Password Protected”
This helps inform users why the page is restricted.
Field Placeholder
Customize the placeholder text inside the password input field.
Example: “Enter your password”.
This gives a hint to users on what to input.
Set the label on the submit button that users click after entering the password.
Example: “Submit”, “Access”, or “Unlock”.
Whitelist Pages URL (e.g., “/cart”)
Enter specific page URLs that should remain accessible without a password.
For example:
- /cart
- /collections/sale
- /contact
This is useful for allowing access to essential pages like the cart or customer support while keeping the rest of the site locked.
Password
Set the actual password users must enter to access the restricted content.
Only users with this password can bypass the under-construction page.
⚠️ Make sure to keep this password secure and share it only with authorized users.
